The IIPS is most fortunate to have Michael Dresner, Chief Executive Officer of the licensing division of Peppercom, Inc., discuss Brand Licensing during Economic Uncertainty on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Clifford Chance US LLP, 31 West 52nd Street, New York, NY 10019. Mr. Dresner will address how to determine brand viability for licensing, the advantages and disadvantages of strategic licensing for the brand owner and licensee, as well as how recent economic events will affect brand licensing.

Mr. Michael Dresner has spent the majority of his career in licensing. He has been involved in business development, client management, and product launch programs. Mr. Dresner worked for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. licensing Disney, Nickelodon, and Warner Brothers characters for children’s first aid products. He has developed domestic licensing programs for AT&T and Subway and global licensing programs for Ford Motor Company and the Andy Warhol Foundation. Most recently, Mr. Desner was the Vice President, Strategy, for a marketing services division of Warner Music Group, creating sponsorship and licensing alliances between Billboard-leading music artists and Fortune 500 companies. He earned a B.S. in Communications from the University of Illinois and an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

The fee for non-members is $20. Admission for law school students is $10. The nominal $60 annual membership dues fee may be sent with the membership application. Membership entitles you to attend other regular meetings during the September 2008 - September 2009 year at no charge. If you would like to reserve your space and/or pay at the door, or if you have any questions about this program, please contact Frederick J. Dorchak at fdorchak@collardroe.com. Sincerely,

Frederick J. Dorchak
