The International Intellectual Property Society is very pleased to announce that Gregory Casamento and Alan Sack will be speaking at our meeting on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., which will be held at the New York offices of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell at Three World Financial Center, 20th Floor Conference Center. They will be discussing Emerging Topics in Advertising and Marketing Law.
Gregory Casamento is a partner in the New York office of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP. He is the co-chair of the Firm’s Technology Transactions & Litigation Group and chair of the Firm’s Advertising and Marketing Section. Greg’s practice focuses on business, commercial, insurance and intellectual property litigation. He has significant experience litigating matters for his clients before both the State and Federal Courts of New York, and before a variety of New York state administrative bodies. His experience includes advising clients on and litigating false advertising claims, copyright and trademark infringement claims, breach of contract and licensing disputes. Greg received his College and Law degrees from Boston University, and is admitted to practice in New York State and the SDNY.
Alan Sack serves as Of Counsel in Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell's New York office. Alan is a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property practice group and its Advertising and Marketing Law Section. Alan counsels clients on their use of trademarks in advertising and product packaging, advertising claims and the use of appropriate marking of patents and registered trademarks on product packaging and brochures. Alan is experienced in patent, trademark and copyright litigation, patent interferences, international oppositions and domestic and international patent and trademark preparation, prosecution and licensing. Alan graduated from MIT and from the B.N. Cardozo School of Law, and is admitted to practice in the State and Federal Courts of New York and New Jersey, the US Patent & Trademark Office, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the US Supreme Court.
The fee for non-members is $20, or for law school students is $10. For the nominal annual dues of $60, members can attend this and our other regular meetings through June 2011 at no additional charge.
