Apr. 15, 2008 – WIPO PCT


The International Intellectual Property Society (IIPS) is very pleased to announce an event featuring Matthew R. Bryan, Director of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) Legal Division, who will provide insights on achieving best practices in PCT prosecution and will address current initiatives at the WIPO. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at WIPO Headquarters, 25th floor of 2 UN Plaza (44th Street, slightly west of 1st Avenue), from 5-7 p.m. All attendees will be welcome at a reception afterwards, hosted by the IIPS.

Mr. Bryan serves as the chief legal advisor on the PCT to WIPO Deputy Director General Francis Gurry and to the Operations Division. He oversees the provision of legal and strategic advice to PCT applicants, is responsible for the organization of PCT training and seminars, as well as orchestrates the resolution of PCT problem applications. Mr. Bryan and his staff travel extensively world-wide teaching and training about the advantages of and procedures for filing PCT applications.

The fee for non-members is $20. Admission for law school students is $10. The nominal $60 annual membership dues fee may be enclosed with theĀ membership application. Membership entitles you to attend other regular meetings during the September 2007-September 2008 year at no charge.
