Sweepstakes and other contest promotions are an increasingly popular way for business to generate the response and interaction they are seeking. The International Intellectual Property Society (“lIPS”) is pleased to announce that Andrew B. Lustigman, Esq., Principal of The Lustigman Firm, P.C. will present, “Sweepstakes and Contest Promotions on the Domestic and International Scale” on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Pfizer headquarters, 235 East 42nd Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenues), 10th Floor, Room 94, in New York City. This presentation will provide an overview of sweepstakes and contest promotions both in the United States and internationally and will include a discussion on use and abuse of intellectual property in contest promotions and potential infringement issues.
Andrew B. Lustigman, Esq. assists clients in developing their marketing strategies. He reviews advertising and marketing materials and assists in various forms of marketing such as direct marketing, telemarketing, and internet marketing campaigns. He advises on intellectual property issues as well as litigation brought by federal and state regulators. He also handles consumer and business litigation involving false and deceptive advertising issues, intellectual property, and corporate matters. Mr. Lustigman is the current Chair of the ABA Special Committee on Promotion and Marketing Law and actively serves on the law committee for the Promotion Marketing Association and the ABA Consumer Protection Committee, as well as the Consumer Affairs Committee for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from The American University, Washington College of Law where he was Managing Editor of The American University Law Review.
The fee for non-members is $20. Admission for law school students is $10. The nominal $60 annual membership dues fee may be enclosed with the membership application.
